Salvation Army Danbury and Waterbury Recognized

DANBURY - The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation presented a check at their January reception in the amount of $6,500 for The Salvation Army’s Danbury Corps Community Emergency Assistance Program and also awarded $2,000 to support The Salvation Army Waterbury Family Emergency Shelter. The checks were presented by President and CEO Kathy Romagnano, who was thrilled to have a record amount of money to present to the nonprofits invited to the ceremony.

Salvation Army Danbury Corps Officer, Captain Todd Hughes, said, "We are so grateful to the Savings Bank of Danbury for their support. Throughout the year, the Bank is always there to help. Baskets of food at Thanksgiving, toys at Christmas and generous donations like this help keep us going throughout the year. We are truly blessed to have such caring friends like the employees at the Savings Bank of Danbury."
