Coldwell Banker Helps Superstorm Sandy Victims!

WEST HARTFORD – When Dave Bobowski called Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters and asked if Major Dave Champlin was available to receive a check from Coldwell Banker for $10,000 to help victims of Superstorm Sandy… we all know what the answer was! Coldwell Banker Regional Senior Vice President Mary Ellen Vicino presented the check to Major Dave the very next day. The money came from Coldwell Banker employees and it was their way to give back to their neighbors.

Ms. Vicino said, "We are pleased to present this check from the CB Cares Foundation, which is funded by donations from our Sales and Administrative staff. The Salvation Army was selected as recipient because of their fine reputation and that 100% of the funds will go toward helping people rebuild their lives."

Major Champlin remarked, "We are now in our second stage of Hurricane Sandy relief. We are here for the long term. Generous supporters like Coldwell Banker employees make it possible for The Salvation Army to maintain a presence as long-term providers after the initial emergency has passed and other care providers have departed. The Army provides a framework that optimizes resources and speeds services to the victims that still require our help."

Dave Bobowski has been a Coldwell Banker representative for 24 years. He has served on The Salvation Army Advisory Board in various capacities for over 30 years. "I am proud to be affiliated with both organizations. I know that our employees are very committed to our communities and I am familiar with the wonderful work of The Salvation Army. This is truly a win/win for everyone."
