10 Cares Thanksgiving Telethon raises over $50K for Salvation Army

Your donations to the NBC 10 Cares Thanksgiving Telethon raised more than $50,000, and there is still time to give. Proceeds will be used to help The Salvation Army provide 3,000 food baskets to families in Rhode Island.

A donation of any amount will help meet the need this Thanksgiving, but please consider the suggested contributions below.

• 1 Medium Food Basket, $50
• 1 Large Food Basket, $75
• 5 Small Food Baskets, $125
• 5 Medium Food Baskets, $250
• 5 Large Food Baskets, $375

Nonperishable food items can be dropped off at participating Shaw’s supermarkets in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts, from now through Monday, November 19th. Look for the marked bins. Shaw's will provide 3,000 $10 gift cards to be included in the food baskets. The Salvation Army will sort and distribute the food to families. Thank you for your generosity.
