Although The Salvation Army is a global organization, it has been serving the Middletown community for over 120 years. Furthermore, all programs and services that it offers target and serve low to moderate-income individuals and families. The Salvation Army in Middletown provides direct social services, including bread/cake distribution and holiday baskets for families and toys for children at Christmas. A back-to-school backpack program is also offered before every school year. In addition, it also provides religious services, including a Sunday School and Worship Service, as well as an adult prayer and bible study while children are invited to participate in a music program.
