Republicans Partner to Raise Money for The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign in Connecticut

The Salvation Army of Southern New England, Connecticut Senate Republicans and Connecticut House Republicans is excited to announce a new aspect to their partnership with local businesses this year that will benefit constituents in districts throughout the state. Funds donated will help The Salvation Army serve communities by providing basic social services to those in need of food, shelter, clothing and financial assistance.

Mayors and legislators, including both past participants and new volunteers will ring bells outside various locations including Walmart, Stop & Shop and Kmart, with Walmart matching donations up to $25,000 statewide.

The Salvation Army Southern New England Division’s combined goal for the 2016 Red Kettle Campaign in Rhode Island and Connecticut is $2 million. These funds help to provide toys, warm coats, nutritious meals and other vital services throughout the year for hundreds of thousands of children, adults and families. The neighbors in need who come to The Salvation Army are not just looking for help – they’re looking for hope.

This Christmas season is expected to be one of the busiest yet and the Republican Kettle Campaign is important to its success. We invite you to meet with your area’s state representatives at the days and times below, and to donate to the Republican Kettle Campaign.
