Service Opportunities

Through a variety of ways, anyone can provide ministry to their community through The Salvation Army. We are dependent on Service Extension volunteers, Advisory Board members, and Auxiliary members in every community in which we and they serve.

You can offer your assistance in either long-term or short-term projects, fundraising events, advisory capacities here in the Southern New England Division, or in other parts of the United States or the world.

Ministry Opportunities

We welcome inquires by Christian men and women interested in serving The Salvation Army as lay ministers and in second-career ministry.

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Doing The Most Good!

Whether it's embracing the homeless, uplifting the abused or abandoned, training and mentoring the disadvantaged, providing character building programs for youth, or assisting the displaced or elderly, The Salvation Army's goal remains the same: serving the most people, meeting the most needs, DOING THE MOST GOOD!
