The Salvation Army provides programs to address hunger throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Intake and assessment for food-related programs will also provide referrals to other social services within The Salvation Army and throughout the Southern New England Division. The Salvation Army also provides hot meals year-round through various locations for those in need.
Additionally, The Salvation Army also offers numerous food pantries to provide groceries for families and individuals in need. Food is free, but some locations require appointments, while others are on a walk-in first come first serve basis, such as those operating units that offer bread programs.
